More than 1.26 lakh students registered for UG course in Delhi University
Delhi – DU Admissions 2020: 1.26 lakh students have been registered on the official website for undergraduate courses in Delhi University. However, for PG courses, 41 thousand students have registered on the official portal. The university has given information about this official data. According to the data on the portal, the total number of registrations is 1,26,671, while 37,802 students have paid the registration fee. This figure is increasing.
Of the paid registrations, 27,539 students are from general category and 4,790 are from other backward classes. While 4,151 are from Scheduled Castes, 723 Scheduled Tribes and 599 from Economically Weaker Section. The total number of candidates applying for postgraduate courses is 41,704. While paid registrations are 13,984. At the same time, 5,356 candidates have registered on the portal for admission to MPhil and PhD.
Of these, 497 have paid the fees. The university held a webinar on Tuesday to answer students’ questions on graduation. Many students asked the counselor about the delay in their board results and were assured that admissions would start only after the university results were declared.
