Admission in B.Com Hons and B.Com will be easy
DU: – The path of admission in UG courses, B.Com Honors and B.Com (Bachelor of Commerce) in DU will be easier this time. For admission in B.Com Honors, it is necessary to pass 12th with a minimum of 45% marks. At the same time, it has been mandatory for B.Com to pass in the 12th Class with at least 40 % marks.
The administration had mandated 50% marks in Maths in 2019-2020 and at least 60% marks in 12th Class. The administration withdrew the decision when it was opposed and raised the limit of marks to 45% and 40%. Admissions were done through this formula till the session 2018-2019.
Now the administration has itself decided to enroll in these courses this year itself from the old rule. For admission in B.Com Honors course, a student must have a mathematics subject in 12th Class. Also, as a minimum qualification, it is necessary to pass 12th in any one of the languages of Hindi or English, Maths, Accounts, Economics, Business Studies and Commerce with 45% marks in any of the 3 subjects.
After that merit will be made by merging the marks of 4 subjects of the student. Students of any stream can enroll in B.Com Honors. It is necessary to pass Mathematics in 12th standard. At the same time, the minimum mark requirement for admission to B.Com has been reduced to 40%.
