Who is Manoj Kumar?
Manoj Kumar (born Harikishan Giri Goswami on 24 July 1937) is an Renowned Indian actor and director in Bollywood. He is remembered for his evergreen performances in films like Hariyali Aur Raasta, Himalay Ki God Mein, Woh Kaun Thi?, Do Badan, Upkar, Patthar Ke Sanam, Purab Aur Paschim, Roti Kapda Aur Makaan, Beimaan, Sanyasi, Shor and Kranti.
He is known for acting in and directing films with patriotic themes, and has been given the nickname Bharat Kumar.
In 1992, he was awarded with the Padma Shri by the Indian Government. India’s highest award in cinema, the Dadasaheb Phalke Award, was awarded to him in 2015.
