A. General Intelligence & Reasoning: It would include both types of questions verbal and non verbal. This component may include questions on similarities and differences, analogies, space visualization, problem solving, spatial orientation, analysis, decision making, judgment, visual memory, observation, relationship concepts, discrimination, arithmetical reasoning and figural classification, non-verbal series, arithmetic number series, coding & decoding, statement conclusion, syllogistic reasoning etc. The topics are, Symbolic / Number Analogy, Semantic Analogy, figural analogy, symbolic / Number classification, Semantic classification, figural classification, number series, semantic series, figural series, word building, problem solving, coding & decoding, numerical operations, symbolic operations, space orientation, trends, space visualization, Venn diagrams, punched hole/ pattern-folding & unfolding, drawing inferences, figural pattern, folding & completion, indexing address matching, date and city matching classification, embedded figures, emotional intelligence, social intelligence, critical thinking, other sub-topics if any.

B. General Awareness: Questions in this Category will be aimed at testing the candidate’s general awareness of the environment around him and its application to society. Questions will also be planned to test knowledge of current events and of such matters of everyday observations and experience in their scientific aspect as may be expected of any educated person. This test will also include questions relating to India and its neighboring countries, especially pertaining to Culture, History, Geography, Economic Scene, Indian Constitution, General Polity, scientific Research etc.

C. Quantitative Aptitude : The questions will be designed to test the ability of appropriate use of numbers and number sense of the aspirants. The scope of the test will be computation of whole numbers, fractions and relationships between numbers, decimals, Percentage, Square roots, Averages, Ratio and Proportion, Interest, Profit and Loss, Discount, Mixture and Allegation, Partnership Business, Time and distance, Time and work, Basic algebraic identities of School Algebra and Elementary surds, Graphs of Linear Equations, Congruence and similarity of triangles, Triangle and its various kinds of centres, Circle and its chords, tangents, angles subtended by chords of a circle, Quadrilaterals, Regular Polygons, common tangents to two or more circles, Triangle, Circle, Right Prism, Right Circular Cone, Right Circular Cylinder, Sphere, Rectangular Parallelepiped, Hemispheres, Regular Right Pyramid with triangular or square base, Degree and Radian Measures, Trigonometric ratio, Standard Identities, Complementary angles, Histogram, Heights and Distances, Frequency polygon, Bar diagram & Pie chart.

D. English Comprehension: Candidates or aspirants ability to understand correct English, his basic comprehension and writing ability, etc. would be tested.

English Language and Comprehension: Questions in this components will be set to test the candidate’s understanding and knowledge of English and will be based on error recognition, filling in the blanks (using verbs, articles, preposition etc), Vocabulary, Grammar, Spellings, Sentence Structure, Synonyms, Antonyms, Phrases and Idiomatic use of Words, Sentence Completion, comprehension etc.
