SSC MTS Selection Procedure

Selection Process details for SSC (Staff Selection Commission) MTS (Multi Tasking Staff) Exam are given below.

SSC MTS Selection Procedure: SSC selection process is based on Written Examination. Candidates will be shortlisted on the basis of their performance in the examination will be required to appear for a descriptive type qualifying paper for testing basic language skills. Written Examination will contain 2 paper, candidates who qualify objective type paper / Multiple choice paper (Paper I) will be shortlisted for the descriptive type (Paper-II) examination on the basis of their performance in Paper-I. Paper-II will only of qualifying nature.

Written Examination: The written exam will consist of (Paper-I) Objective type paper & (Paper-II) descriptive type.

1- Paper-I will consist of questions on ‘Reasoning and General Intelligence’ will be non-verbal nature considering the functions attached to post. Questions on Numerical Aptitude & General English will be simple, of a level that an average matriculate candidate will be in position to answer it comfortably. Paper-II will be held only for those candidates who meet the cut-off marks prescribed by the Commission in Paper-I for different categories.

2- Paper-II will be descriptive in which the candidate will be required to write short letter / essay in English or any one of the language included in the 8^th schedule of the Indian Constitution. Paper-II will only be of qualifying nature and is set in a way to test elementary language skills in view of re-categorization of the post as Group-C and in view of job requirements.

Note:- The cut-offs in Paper-I and qualifying marks for Paper-II may be different for vacancies in each of the State / Union Territories will be fixed at the discretion of the commission. Candidates for each State / Union Territories will be finally selected based on the performance in Paper-I, subject to their meeting basic qualifying standards is already fixed in Paper-II.

3-Documents verification will be conducted only for those candidates who have qualified in written examination.
