SBI Clerk Selection Process

Selection Procedure: The examination consists of 3 Main phases, viz.
Phase-I: a) Preliminary Examination (Online): 100 marks (Objective type) Time – 1 hour
Phase-II: b) Main Examination (Online): 200 marks (Objective type) – Time – 2 Hours 40 Minutes
Important Note-I: The questions in objective tests, except for the test of English, will be bilingual, i.e., English and Hindi.
Important Note-II: There will be negative marking for each wrong answer in the Objective tests. One-Fourth mark will be deducted for every and each wrong answer.
Phase-III:Test of specified opted or picked local language:
Those who qualify for selection and produce 10th or 12th standard mark sheet certificate evidencing having studied the specified opted local language will not be subjected or allowed to any other Language test. In case of others (selection or qualified), specified selected local language test will be held or conducted after provisional selection but before joining. If Candidates would not found to be proficient in specified opted local language would be disqualified.
Provisional Selection (Subject qualifying specified opted local language):
The marks obtained in the Preliminary Test or Examination (Phase-I) will not be added for the selection and only the aggregate marks obtained in Main Examination (Phase-II) will only be considered or treated for the preparation of the final merit list. Provisional selection will be made only on the basis of candidate’s performance in the test (main examination).
Final Selection:
- Verification of information furnished in the online application and eligibility for the post.
- Qualifying in test of specified opted or selected local language, where applicable, as detailed above.
