Name and Mascot Design Competition for Mumbai-Ahmedabad High Speed Rail:-
National High-Speed Rail Corporation Ltd is a joint venture between Govt. of India, Through ministry of railways and participating state governments (Gujarat and Maharashtra). NHSRCL (National High-Speed Rail Corporation Ltd) is mandated to build India’s first high speed rail (Generally known as Bullet Train) between Mumbai & Ahmadabad. With the development of High-Speed rail corridor, India will going to join the elite club of 15 nations having this sophisticated technology within our reach. Mumbai – Ahmadabad High Speed Rail will cover distance of 508 Km in approximately 3 hrs while covering 12 stations in Maharashtra, Gujarat and Union territory of Dadra & Nagar Haveli.
The High-Speed Rail project or Bullet project apart from being a technological marvel, would afford many quantifiable development and benefits like saving in travel time, reduction in pollution, vehicle operation cost, reduction in accidents/ enhanced safety, job creation and reduction in pollutants imported fuel substitution. The project will also boost the development and add to the growth of economy and country.

National High-Speed Rail Corporation Ltd is organizing a contest for the name and mascot for India’s first high speed train. Name and Mascot is going to represent the true nature of high speed rail and all the socio-economic benefits that will come with the introduction of this technology in India.

Prizes of The Competition:-
The selected entry will be given a cash prize and five consolation entries will be awarded as follows
Mascot design: Winning prize: INR1,00,000/–
five consolation prize for INR 10,000/- each By Government of India.
Train set name: Winning prize: INR 50,000/-
five consolation prize for INR 5,000/– each By Government of India.
